2018. European Year of Cultural Heritage

“Cultural Heritage in Europe” is a teaching innovation project of the UCM based on the following pillars

01. Compromise

Shared Heritage: making citizens get in touch with european cultural heritage, its history and its shared values.
Heritage at school: discovering the treassures of Europe at a short age.
Youth for Heritage: get the compromise of youngsters.

02. Value

New usages of Heritage: recreating industrial, religious or military Heritage.
Tourism and Heritage: promoting sustainable cultural tourism.

03. Protection

Protecting Heritage: developing quality standards for interventions on historical sites and environments.
Heritage at risk: struggling against illegal traffic of cultural goods and promoting risk management at historical sites.

04. Innovation

Powers related to Heritage: reinforcing education and teaching in new and traditional occupations.
Heritage for all: promoting citizen participation and social innovation.
Science for Heritage: promoting research, innovation, science and technology for a better Heritage preservation.
